By stating "unprotected functional elements", the court has ruled that such beasties actually exist! It implies that functionality is different from the copyrightable expression. Since a system/function call only accesses the functionality, it should be permitted. -- David Johnson ___________________ http://www.usermode.org pgp public key on website -- license-discuss archive is at http://crynwr.com/cgi-bin/ezmlm-cgi?3
