Licqgpg is a shared library that works completely independant from licq, by the way it can also be used together with ickle. Licqgpg could be integrated into licq at different positions (with the best one probably being the daemon itself), but in any case there needs to be some support within the GUI layer (key selection, etc). I just chose the easier solution and only changed the GUI, making the daemon support licqgpg would be a bit more work (but not very much either).
