Regarding comment #1:
Pitched rests follow the pitch you specify on the assumption that the
composer knows best. Even if you leave the raster.
Arguably, at least with transposed voices it might make sense to have a way
to fix the positioning when rests go out of raster particularly inside of
the staves.
Apart from the transposition problem, however, I see this working as
intended.
