Hi Knute, > Just to be clear, you've tried File -> New -> Score Wizard?
Yes. > This sounds close to what you want. No… That generates a template of code, and pastes it into a file, and then I’m meant to fill that structure with data. (Note: Of the ~150 lines of code the Score Wizard generated for an SSATTB score, fewer than 90 of them are what I would want in my file, and I hate the names it gave them.) Certainly, a wizard might be helpful to generate a variable structure (for voices, lyrics, etc., but I want all the stuff *after* the variable structure to be abstracted into a framework that the user never sees or interacts with [beyond \include-ing it, of course]. I want to put music/content variables in a file, \include the framework, and immediately get beautiful output. > I'm unclear as to how you would want this to work. Would it create a > template for you? Short answer: Yes. Longer answer. No… the score code would be generated dynamically, not as a static code blob pasted into a text file (cf. Frescobaldi’s Score Wizard). Did you ever see/use OrchestralLily? I imagine it would similar to that. Again, if/when I have a moment, I’ll try to whip up a MWE — it will be a lot easier to discuss (or maybe even imagine!) if we can see a working demo. Best, Kieren. __________________________________________________ My work day may look different than your work day.
