Amen to that! dselect absolutely sucks. Even now that I can claim to "know"
how to use this program I still hate it. Personallly I'm happy with Debian
but I can't recommend it to new users until they get rid of that beast. I
heard a while back that some group was working on a good replacement for it
but haven't heard anything recently. Debian definitely has its drawbacks - a
quick look at the Debian logo page and its long drawn-out selection process
is just one tiny example. And their Debian-specific documentation is lacking
just a bit.
