There is not much we can/should do about coyotes, in my experience living around here for the last many decades, with two exceptions: 1) if they are behaving in an aggressive manner *and* don't seem to be afraid of humans; and 2) if they appear rabid (walking unsteadily, aggressive, sometimes foaming at mouth). The two situations are slightly different from each other. In either case, I would call animal control.
