I would hope Con.Comm could find a way to post this video. Do we have signs on our trails to alert people that they should keep dogs on leash, esp, Jan & Feb.? If dogs are off-lead, they might have a very unpleasant encounter.
Years ago, a neighbor was walking with friends and their golden on Pigeon Hill trails. The golden wandered off and not one noticed. When they all went home (Conant Rd.), the dog was not with them. Much searching and she did not appear. The next AM, they heard whining form under their porch-found the dog there. She had been gutted! She probably got near a den and was attacked as the Mom was protecting pups. Much surgery and a long recovery period and she lived for many more years…but never was walked, off-lead, in those woods again! Take head.
