I have been using Director since Dir 4 to build cross platform programs. We design on Macintosh and use Virtual PC in the Mac to create the Windows projectors. I just found out that several clients told me that the projectors (made in Dir 8) were not working under XP.
I Purchased upgrades for both Windows and Mac (Director8.5). I got the Updaters both Mac and Windows (8.5.1) and I bought Virtual PC5 with XP. And A gateway laptop with XP for final testing. The projectors work in XP on the Mac (Virtual PC) but fail on the real PC. I get errors saying The Instruction at "0x77f536F7" referenced memory at "0x00000000" the memory could not be written. The numbers change from test to test be every time it doesnt work. Please have anyone had this problem Thanks for any help David Rosenblatt (727) 298-0079 [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Dave Rosenblatt Silver Image Interactive, Inc.
