Creating a cuepointing tool

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to add tracks to a QuickTime file via a Director app, and then save the modified QT to hard drive. What I'd like to do is import a QT and a "transcript" test file into a Dir tool, then let the user create cuepoints that are associated with lines from the transcript, and finally, save that info into the QT via a text track. I can do all of the necessary stuff to create a text file that is just like a text track exported from a QT, so somebody could manually add that track to the QT later... but, is there a way to save a modified QT from Dir?

I suppose I could create something which spits out appropriately named text files, and then create an Apple script to batch the QT production, but it would be nice if it was a "one-step" Dir tool.

Any thoughts will be much appreciated.
