Here's a challenge that has puzzled me for a long time. I usually take a coding shortcut because of time, but is there a way to find the sprite if the member number or name is known?
(x = the spriteNum of member "junk")
Not built in and when you think about it you'll see why. Sprites can exist in different channels in different spans. So you'd have to ask for the spriteNum of member "junk" at a given frame or range of frames, at best a dodgy proposition. Since the actual spritenum of a given member can change instantly from one frame to the next, furthermore, it's something you'd have to test pretty regularly.
That said you could easily put together a handler that crawls the score and looks for the spriteNum, but I don't think it would look very pretty in operation from the user's point of view.
