The way my client was building the Director movie she would have each word on stage as a sprite of some kind, so I thought "well, why not read off the names of the cast members, check the frame numbers of where the associated sprites reside and put them into the list automatically".
It's a brute force approach as I don't have any time really for finesse - as long as it works she's happy.
