That's why I like using the publish to shockwave button - your originals remain intact, and you get copies of the shocked files. I think the Xtras->Protect Movies is a bit risky, because it remove the originals, even though you get every opportunity to backup. Also, when shocking the files through Xtras->Protect my filenames keep getting truncated into MS-DOS format, which I find rather annoying.
