It's _definitely_ a bug, either with D8's Message window or Win2K's video
card drivers. It was the first thing I noticed after installing D8 on
Win2K, but come to think of it, I used D8 on W98 too, and didn't see the
problem.

I did search thru the Maricopa archives several months ago for this, and
others had logged complaints. So I figured MM knew about it.

The problems range from the Message window not having focus when you
maximize it to screwy refresh problems when it's full of text. Ie., you'd
expect "put interface(xtra "Mui") to fill the Message window instantly on a
750mHz PIII, but when it's fully zoomed on my machine, it takes a good 4-5
seconds to write it out.

Otherwise, D8 is great. And I haven't seen it with D8/Mac at all. Now THAT
would be a shocker, if something as basic as window focus didn't work on
Mac.

Whatever. Hopefully we won't have to live with this issue for too much
longer.
