Oh, good, something we can disagree on :-) This is gonna be good, because
we both know audio (Colin's the acknowledged expert, but I'll match him
blow-for-blow on audio ;-)
My experience has shown far superior results with 16-bit source. The case
in point: we took an 11/8/mono source, and it sounded terrible. We used
Sound Forge to convert it to 11/16/mono, and it sounded great. I don't
remember the bit rate we used--I believe it was 48 or 32. Bryan, are you
out there?
Maybe there were other factors. I wonder what other people's experience has
been?
