I'm Using Director 8.5 for Win and SoundForge 4.5

We had professional audio done for our current project. It was recorded at
16/44Hz. I downsampled the audio to 8/11Hz using SoundForge and it still
sounded really good. When I imported all the files into an external cast in
Director 8.5, and then played them in my movie, the quality of the sound
greatly decreased. It sounded tinny, scratchy, and whistley.

I searched the archives and couldn't find a solution/reason for this to be
happening. There were similar problems posted, but none quite like this.
The imported audio attributes of the cast members are equal to what they
were saved out as in SoundForge.

Am I overlooking some mundane detail? I am using the same resampling
techiques in SoundForge which worked fine in other authoring applications.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards,
Joe Gallagher

PS. Andy F, thanks for the heads up regarding the deskTopRectList. I just
got my dual head video card back, and I see what you mean. Dangerous
indeed!
