Using the HMC as a system console is probably not a good idea, even if it will work 
with the install programs.  It would be incredibly difficult to use.  We've had to use 
it as an emergency console once or twice.  Basically, the O/S lets you know there is a 
message.  you have to go to another window to read the message.  To respond, you have 
to open another window.  This is the way it goes.  One line and one response at a time.
