Alan and others, Thanks for the info. The one from UnEclipse Software can be bought on special right now for $89. I used to use XEDIT, so I can probably get by with the hessling-editor also, which is free. I do very little progamming or REXX, so I don't think I would want to try to do that. I know that once I get Linux up on the mainframe, I want to avoid the Vi editor at all costs. The hour I worked on it at an IBM class for AIX long ago convinced me I want to stay away from Vi.
