I 'grew up' with ISPF, so the thing I find most difficult about XEDIT is
when I try and do ISPF commands with it. ;-(

Perhaps one day I'll do real work in XEDIT, and have to learn it properly,
but for the moment it's just the occasional PROFILE EXEC or Linux
PARMLINE. If vi was available for CMS I would probably use it, but for
the amount of editing of CMS files I do it would not be worth it.

Everythinglinux.com.au sells a "VI Reference Mug", which I bought when I
was forcing my way through learning vi. Now, I actually use the mug for
coffee. ;-)

My point is that it might seem like the most efficient thing to bring your
'favourite editor' to your new platform. However, consider the amount of
editing you'll be doing and whether it might just be easier to spend a
little time getting to know one/some of the platform's native editors.

Cheers,
