Eric, if memory serves. At the network device prompt you specify : hsi At the channel device layer prompt you pass : hsi0,0xbfe4,0xbfe5,0xbfe6
It's been a while but I think this worked for us. I think at the additional parms for qdio devices we left it blank. Hope this helps a little Harold -----Original Message----- From: Eric Sammons [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, December 24, 2003 08:00 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RedHat 7.2 install, issue #2 I have resolved my first issue through use of the provided REDHAT EXEC file that I had overlooked originally. I now have issue #2. Under my SuSE guests I have a network card hsi0 with the necessary network information. Executing dmesg shows that my network card is qeth 0xbfe4, 0xbfe5, 0xbfe6. All of my guests are set up in this manner. My question is what parmeter line do I need to pass to RedHat to have it know where and what my network device is. I have tried the following: LCS=qeth0,0xbfe4,0xbfe5,0xbfe6 I have tried entering the information during the install process when prompted. I have also tried entering ctc0.... Any ideas? Thanks!
