I've been trying to install Linux and use an OSA/Express set up in non
QDIO mode. When attempting to configure SLES 8 to use it with the OSA
Ethernet selection on the initial communications configuration menu, I
get the following:

Starting LCS module $Revision: 1.132 $ $Date: 2002/04/30 19:13:38 $
with chandev support, with multicast support, with ethernet support,
with token ring support.
debug: lcs: new level 0
A partially successful startup read_devno=2000 write_devno=2001 was
detected rc=-5
please check your configuration parameters, cables & connection to the
network.
No lcs capable cards found
Terminating lcs module.

This site tried using the Marist distribution and specified the ipldelay
parameter and it would also not recognize the card. We also tried
Thinkblue. They all failed with similar messages.

This site is prepared to change this card to use OSA Express, but they
would like to try to understand why the LCS driver isn't working (as
would I).

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
