Hello folks,

I am tring to uses the rexec command from a VM/CMS userid to a SUSE
SLES8 image running of the same VM system.

z/VM Version 4 Release 4.0, service level 0301 (32-bit)

The following CMS rexec with the debug flag command fails:

rexec -d -l roske03 -p roske03 x55.35.123.98 ls
REXEC Level 440, Internal version id 3.A.0 PQ33751
parms is -d -l xxxxx -p xxxxx x55.35.123.98 ls
Variables have the following assignments:
fhost : x55.35.123.98
userid : xxxxx
passwd : xxxxx
command : ls
calling GetHostResol with x55.35.123.98

The Linux /var/log/messages file contains the the error messages related
to the rexec command:

Feb 20 09:29:10 linux in.rexecd[2070]: connect from
x55.35.123.97(x55.35.123.97)
Feb 20 09:29:10 linux in.rexecd[2070]: error: cannot execute
/usr/sbin/in.rexecd
: No such file or directory

We installed SLES8 rexecd using the SUSE application installation
routine. I did not find the "in.rexecd" file anywhere. What do I need
to do to get rexec working on SUSE Linux.

Thanks

Ken
