We would like to use z/OS flashcopy and FDR on our z/OS LPAR to take full pack dumps of the z/VM disks. These tapes would then be used to restore our system at a remote site. In z/OS, we must QUIESCE the HFS (USS) files prior to running the flashcopy in order to get a clean, useable copy. I am wondering if we can get good flashcopy of the z/VM disks while the Linux images are active.
