The 9037-2 can steer the TOD clock, but the adjustments are rather rude.
It will fully press either the gas or the brake, sort of. The one I
played with did a dial-out twice a week and typically had lost some 300
mS in between. iirc it will adjust 1 second in 12 hours.
When you run ntpd on top of that, things are really bizarre when the
clock speeds up or down underneath. See my presentation at
