I would prefer that there not be an intermediary stop for the data, but if
my interface in CMS were as programmatic as the VMFTP program. I like the
idea of a single command to move data from here to there, but if I have to
program all of the interactions (OPEN, USER, PASSWORD, CD, PUT, QUIT, etc)
then the subcommand process of VMFTP is nice and complete,
