It is not, however, imbedded in an ESM. LDAP clients are easy. Integrating them with an ESM is hard. Special consideration to be given to the chicken-and-the-egg where you have to have operational security services in order to get an IP stack running. And then there's uppercase vs. lowercase, long user IDs and enterprise identity mapping, and long passphrases. Is it for authentication only? Or authorization as well?
