If the join is failing and smbd is crashing, it's time to revert to the older version while you try to get the problem fixed.

I they were all labelled 390x. The command "net ads join" was issued from the linux server. I need it to be a member server in an AD 2003 domain. It all worked before I updated samba -- sort of. There were some known bugs that the latest and greatest RPMs were supposed to fix. Now I'm really fixed. smbd crashes on startup. If I can't get it working this evening I'll be desperately calling someone in the morning. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
