I have 4 disks and 2 tapes defined on fcp devices and they're working correctly on a Suse9 system. I also have 1 additional tape that has an error in the wwpn that I've been spectacularly unsuccessful in removing permanently. It is causing an error on the fcp channel at boot time, and I'm getting the following messages:
zfcp: The adapter 0.0.f001 reported the following characteristics: WWNN 0x5005076400c36e0d, WWPN 0x5005076401009cab, S_ID 0x00640600, adapter version 0x4, LIC version 0x605, FC link speed 2 Gb/s zfcp: Switched fabric fibrechannel network detected at adapter 0.0.f001. zfcp: warning: failed gid_pn nameserver request for wwpn 0x500507630f84bc1b for adapter 0.0.f001 zfcp: port erp failed (adapter 0.0.f001, wwpn=0x500507630f84bc1b) I followed the instructions in the Device Drivers, Features and Commands manual for remove a zfcp unit and port, but when I reboot the system, the bad wwpn and unit show back up again. I'm guessing that this information is also stored somewhere else, but I don't know where. Can anyone shed any light on this? I need to delete the bad information and then define the wwpn correctly so the developers can continue testing.
