CMS FS (driver) broke after Linux 2.4.19 (utility is fine).
With CMS FS, you could have one or more Linux EXT2FS or ISO
filesystems on a CMS minidisk, mount the minidisk and then mount
the other filesystems via "loop back" (where a file is treated
as if it were a disk). Very handy.

To me, this is even more workable than DDR.
You have CMS-land files that you can copy onto a good sized minidisk,
including the kernel and an EXEC to do the PUNCH magic until (unless)
you have a directly bootable Linux disk. CMS-land files can be
kicked around with DDR, VMFPLC, tape, RSCS, ... even FTP.

But ... it's going to be a while before CMS FS (driver) will get fixed.
