Well, I really like z/OS. It is not perfect by any means. But for what it was 
originally designed to do, it does excellently. It just wasn't designed to 
operate in an ASCII world. And, believe me, there has been a LOT of complaints 
to IBM about z/OS UNIX being EBCDIC based instead of Unicode based.
