John, > I'm not sure if Mike MacIsaac's "Samba Solutions" presentations got into Kerberos or not. He can chime in on that. It gets into winbind with AD, but just touches on Kerberos. It doesn't address Samba-3 nor Windows 2003 Server, so I'm not sure how much value it would be.
FWIW I recently had a discussion where I learned that Microsoft now ships "Windows Services for UNIX" standard with Win2K3 R2 server. That function can supply LDAP posixAccount type of fields, especially UIDs and GIDs. If the AD administrators are serious about coexisting with Linux in the enterprise, it is to their advantage to populate these fields. So maybe you should try treating the AD administrators to lunch and try to get their views on Linux coexistence. Hey, Microsoft and Novell just made a deal :)) "Mike MacIsaac" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (845) 433-7061 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
