I'm trying to build up a server consolidation model on IBM mainframe using VM,Linux.My available H/W is 9672-R86 or 36 with 8GB ,9672-R44 with 2GB storage and Z/vm version 4.1.Could anybody help me to configure such server , current workload is small Linux servers like (FTP,NFS,Samba,DMZ,etc.).The Linux version depends on performance experinced by the references.
