Also, for FTP installs I would add this to the list of possible causes: - Not enough storage defined for this LPAR. One of the differences between FTP/HTTP and NFS installation methods is that all of the files necessary for stage 2 of the installer must be held in memory, so it requires more storage defined than you would normally need after installation.
