I looked at the /var/log/YaST2/y2log file as requested and I saw this information. Which would indicate to me that the problem is with Novell. Am I correct?
Also at the end, there are three messages saying there are "No valid shortcuts for pushbuttons" - It doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but I thought it was strange. 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [liby2util++] PathInfo.cc(_Log_Result):271 unlink /var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel-update.ycp install-kernel-non-interactive.sh.new.yast.37456 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <3> tsglnux1(10140) [mediaaccess] MediaCurl.cc(getFileCopy):413 curl error: 22: The requested URL returned error: 404 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [mediaaccess++] MediaCurl.cc(getFileCopy):430 HTTP return code: 404 (URL: https://you.novell.com/update/i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel-upd ate.ycp%20install-kernel-non-interactive.sh) 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <2> tsglnux1(10140) [mediaaccess] MediaHandler.cc(provideFile):242 provideFile(./i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel-update.ycp install-kernel-non-interactive.sh): ERROR(Media:file not found)[HTTP return code: 404 (URL: https://you.novell.com/update/i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel-upd ate.ycp%20install-kernel-non-interactive.sh)] 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <3> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager] InstYou.cc(retrieveScript):1118 Error downloading script from 'https://you.novell.com/update//./i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel -update.ycp install-kernel-non-interactive.sh' 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <3> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager] InstYou.cc(retrievePatch):1085 Error retrieving updateScript. 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager++] InstYou.cc(processPatches):518 Patch retrieval error: ERROR(Media:file not found)[HTTP return code: 404 (URL: https://you.novell.com/update/i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/scripts/kernel-upd ate.ycp%20install-kernel-non-interactive.sh)] 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager++] InstYou.cc(processPatches):534 Error callback response: ERROR(You:No callback function is set.) 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager] InstYou.cc(log):1515 Error: Cannot get files. 2007-10-19 13:23:37 <1> tsglnux1(10140) [packagemanager] InstYou.cc(log):1515 ------>> 2007-10-19 13:29:14 <1> tsglnux1(11936) [ui-shortcuts] YShortcutManager.cc(checkShortcuts):96 No valid shortcut for YPushButton "Synchronize now" 2007-10-19 13:29:14 <1> tsglnux1(11936) [ui-shortcuts] YShortcutManager.cc(checkShortcuts):96 No valid shortcut for YPushButton "Setup automatic synchronization" 2007-10-19 13:29:14 <1> tsglnux1(11936) [ui-shortcuts] YShortcutManager.cc(checkShortcuts):96 No valid shortcut for YPushButton "Start Server" -----Original Message----- From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mark Post Sent: Friday, October 19, 2007 12:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: SLES 9; problem using YOU download maintenance. >>> On Fri, Oct 19, 2007 at 3:23 PM, in message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Clark, Douglas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On an Intel box I have SLES 9 running. Try looking in /var/log/YaST2/y2log (or whatever is the most recently updated file in there) and see if you can find any clues.
