I sent the data captured in the /var/log/YaST2/y2log file to Novell and waited for them to reply. I have not heard from them, but either the network techs or firewall techs on my side or the techs at Novell made a change because all is working now. Either that or another immaculate correction has occurred. I have seen a few of those in my career too.
