Please try this: after IPL do a "modprobe dasd_diag_mod" and afterwards an "lsmod" to check if the module was loaded. If it wasn't loaded, check the output of "dmesg" for error messages. If it was loaded, try to set the DASD online. If that works, there's a problem with the init script in the initial ramdisk and you should open a problem report with your distributor.
