If there was a port name mismatch, Linux would report it.

It is reporting that the *LAN* is offline, not the OSA.  The error code
0xE080 indicates that the LAN cable is unplugged or the port on the switch
isn't active, or the port on the OSA has been disabled on the SE.  I.e.
"no carrier detect", as it were.
