I don't see that type of option on the mount command man pages for z/OS Unix. Same as with FTP, it would also require "smarts" for translating (or not) if the option did (does) exist.

It has been done at least once before, with a fairly high amount of aggravation. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Just FYI, the second DVD isn't needed for the install process. All it has on it are the source packages. I'm curious, though. It's been while since I supported z/OS. Does USS support loopback mounting things like ISO images?
