Hi Mike. I did change that broadcast, blanked it out actually, then it defaults to a correct value, but no change. Maybe it's a firewall rule somewhere only allowing one adapter using ssh connection. Because logging in from outside the machine only works with one of the interfaces, but an internal local ssh inside is possible via both ip:s.
Have to check that out. Why is the broadcast address in ifcfg-eth0 starting with 131.197? Shouldn't it be 10.248? Then the ifcfg-eth1 file looks different, so I might try something like: # cd /etc/sysconfig/network # mv ifcfg-eth1 ifcfg-eth1.orig # cat ifcfg-eth0 | sed -e 's/122/115/g' -e 's/700/710/g' > ifcfg-eth1 # reboot But, these are just hints (guesses? :)) "Mike MacIsaac" <[email protected]> (845) 433-7061 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information on Linux on System z, visit http://wiki.linuxvm.org/
