Ficon wasn't designed for switch upgrades though...  There should be an
IBM product that starts with T to fix this problem across all platforms.

Lun discovery should alleviate changes in each Linux guest a bit.  The
symbolic wwpn and symbolic wwnn fields in the nameserver could be used for
something like a DNS.  The problem is that they are optional, and the SCSI
machine loader would need a few enhancements.
