We interrupt this regularly scheduled thread to solicit testers.

It has always seemed cumbersome to go through so many steps to get these
files, arrange them, punch, and IPL. We desperately need a one-shot,
something that will just do it without so many moving parts. Brad Hinson
created zPXE. Cool! But those of us without TFTP and kickstart
orchestration still need plain HTTP. So ... here's an idea which works
for me which others might like. Someone please give it a try.

I've had a 'curl' workalike for CMS for a while now. NORDAUTO EXEC uses
that to fetch a kernel and initrd and feed the punch directly. If you
consider the list-o-files above, the initrd and kernel are _retrieved on
demand_, the parm file is represented by a /<vmid>/ NORDAUTO file, which
varies per guest, and UBUNTU EXEC is represented by NORDAUTO EXEC and
CURL REXX. which do not change from Linux to Linux.

The EXEC and "gem" are in a VMARC at ...

The system where most of my toys live is a z10, so I get the all too
familiar0BADCCCC abend code for Ubuntu. That's one reason I'm calling
out for testers, people with shiny new hardware. I'm open to
contributions too! Thanks.

We now return to the previous thread, already in progress.
