No, it is not hard, it's just that people perceive it as hard. As long
as you follow the instructions (from Chris Rutter) closely, it doesn't
fail. Most errors are just because a small part from the instructions
has been overlooked.
Remember that most people just want to compile the ARM linux kernel;
they don't want to be bothered with compiling a cross compiler. That's
why the precompiled tool chains are a good thing to have.
