The armv4 tools are perfectly suitable for the XScale as well... unless you
really need the additional DSP opcodes available on the 80200 which should
be the last of your worries for now.

Well... you'd better be prepared for loooong kernel compile time.
The best you can do is really to grab a binary cross compiler kit for your
PC from one of the multiple sites that packaged it.

PS: Anybody knows how the timer works on the IQ-80310? The documentation
is extremely lacking on that point and I need to know it of course for
my XScale kernel to run correctly.
