that's great! i saw your perlmonk post too! thanks for the scripts.
i notice that you connected the hplj6 printer to a linux box. in my
case it is hplj2100tn i.e. a network printer. so it has its own ip
number. that's where my problem lies. lpd spools ok, but doesn't send
job to printer. win98 clients can see printer in neighborhood,
install, print a test page, but after that nothing. it's samba
problem.
maybe we should connect the printer directly to linux box.
