I have a 17GB Seagate hardisk with >1024 cylinders. I have installed Windows
2000 on this drive(/dev/hda1). On another 2.1 GB drive which is I run as
slave (/dev/hdd1) I have installed Red Hat 6.2. Now when I try to add Lilo
to the MBR (on my 17GB drive) it does not work. That is when I boot up I get
a series of 1 and 0s which fill up the screen. I learnt somewhere that LILO
does not work if for drives > 1k. So I installed the latest version of LILO
21.4.4 which was released in June 2000 and claims to have fixed this problem
i.e works for drives > 1k, but I still got the same results.
Can anyone tell me what is going wrong?
