Hello
Lilo shows such zeroes and 1s when it's unable to recognize the drive (see the LILO 
documentation) . I had a similar problem When I was installing RH Linux at a clients 
machine, with 2 different drives. Just check the Bios, ie, whether the drives are 
being reognized or not, and also set the jumpers if that is required by your drive 
(You wouldhave to set the jumpers if you are using it in a config. that is not 
default, say for example, primary slave etc.. )These steps fixed my problems, so they 
should help.
