I've been using Netscape 4.05 Messenger to access email on my local
Linux box with diald for quite
a while with no problems. I have the IP of the Linux box in my windows
hosts file and can check
my email without diald connecting to the Internet. Now that I have
upgraded to 4.51, everytime I
check my email, diald connects for a second.... looks like Messenger is
looking up some netscape.com site. Question is how do I fix this? I
noticed this on my wife's PC (been running 4.51 for a while), but
figured it was something in here hosts configuration and haven't had
time to look at
it yet.... guess it was Netscape. Any ideas?
