Hi Dave
Yes you are right. Messenger (and the Newsreader) tries to link to some
Netscape site. However you can get rid of it.
Close ALL Netscape programs.
Goto the directory where your profile is stored. (Usually
somewhere near your Nescape installation directory)
Load the file prefs.js into your favorite text editor.
Append the following line to the file.
user_pref("mailnews.start_page.enabled", false);
Close the editor and start Netscape/Messenger again and voila !
The procedure is also described at Netscape's site IF you know
where to dig :-)
