Well, finally I also managed to fix this one: for some reason I had the line setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none in my start script, which apparently was necessary with my old motherboard. With the new motherboard this line prevents LIRC from working. Now everything works fine again. Sorry for the disturbances...
