Hi
we use over 100 sandisk CFs with no problems.
Earlier kernels detect the sandisk as a boot master only( eg 2.0.34 ). Later
kernels work OK ( even if the BIOS wont detect it ) ... try a 2.2.X kernel.
Works fine for me.
ie My toshiba laptop, teknor boards, allwell boards, various BH6 etc etc.
regards.

luck with the Sandisk Imagemate USB - CF card reader - acts as a dynamic SCSI
drive.

few pointers in this mailing list about doing that, however, they ALL seem to
assume that the CF

Which is not the ideal situation, because what I want to transfer is on my
current master HD.

remember how I did it, but it does work and it boots if it is the master

have you verified PCMCIA is working correctly? If on IDE then put it on
secondary controller and see if that works.
