Older versions of course not always, just like drbd doesn't load on all
kernel versions; this needs to be protected against with the proper
dependencies & sonames. But otherwise, yes.

As long as the soname doesn't change, yes.

I still think that the dopd is sort-of the wrong approach, btw. This
should probably integrate somehow with the drbd RA, using the
notifications made available to it.
